Crunchy, naturally sweet and incredibly easy to make! šŸ’›āœØ

A delicious homemade granola with ripe bananas, creamy tahini, oats and crunchy nuts. Perfect for breakfast, a quick snack or as a topping for your favourite yoghurt bowl!

šŸ”¹ Makes 10 servings at approximately 150 kcal per serving

šŸ”¶ Ingredients

šŸ”¹ 200 g rolled oats (step 3)

šŸ”¹ 2 small ripe bananas (step 2)

šŸ”¹ 40 g tahini or almond butter (step 3)

šŸ”¹ 50 g honey (step 3)

šŸ”¹ 25 g pecans, walnuts or flaxseeds (step 3)

šŸ”¹ 1 tsp ground cinnamon, or to taste (step 3)

šŸ”¶ Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 150°C (fan). Line a large baking tray with baking paper.

  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until you have a smooth, creamy paste.

  3. Add the oats, tahini (or almond butter), honey, nuts or seeds, and cinnamon. Mix everything well until all the ingredients are evenly combined.

  4. Spread the mixture thinly and evenly over the prepared baking tray. Bake for 25–30 minutes, until lightly golden.

  5. Remove from the oven and allow the granola to cool. Once cooled, break it into small, crunchy clusters.

  6. Return the granola to the oven at 150°C for another 10 minutes to help it become extra crispy. Keep an eye on it to prevent burning!

  7. Allow it to cool completely before enjoying or storing it in an airtight container. It will become crunchier as it cools!

šŸ”¶ Make it your own! 🌟

Here are some ideas to experiment with:

  • Chocolate lovers:Ā Add a few dark chocolate chips once the granola has cooled.

  • Extra crunch:Ā Try a combination of pecans, walnuts, pumpkin seeds and flaxseeds.

  • A fruity twist:Ā Add dried cranberries, raisins or chopped dried apricots after baking.

  • More flavour:Ā Experiment with a little vanilla extract, cardamom or ground ginger.

šŸ’” Healthy U Tip:Ā Pair your homemade granola with plain Greek yoghurt and fresh berries for a delicious breakfast that combines fibre, protein and healthy fats.

Make a batch, store it in a jar and enjoy homemade goodness throughout the week!

Enjoy! šŸ½ļø
