💎 Tahini is a delicious addition to our recipes with many benefits to our health, being rich in vitamin B6, calcium, magnesium, and polyunsaturated fatty acids.
💎 Pekmez (grape molasses) helps with a sore throat as it has antimicrobial & antioxidant properties. It is rich in vitamin B6, potassium, magnesium, manganese, and iron.
🔹 1 cup whole grain tahini
🔹 ½ cup of water, lukewarm
🔹 ½ cup of orange juice
🔹 1 cup of grape pekmez
🔹 2¾ cup whole grain flour
🔹 5 tsp baking powder
🔹 1 tsp salt
🔹 1/2 cup of walnuts or pecans, finely chopped
🔹 70g white raisin
🔹 70g black raisin (sour)
🔹 1-2 tsp cinnamon
🔹 1 tsp Amla powder (optional)
🔹 30g added fibers (optional)
🔶For the Tahini Icing with Pekmez (grape molasses) Mix: 1/4 cup tahini with 1/4 pekmez
➡️ Preheat the oven to 180°C (resistors), and oil a rectangular baking pan 25x35 cm.
Flour it, turn it over and remove the excess flour.
1️⃣Beat the tahini in a bowl and gradually add the water, orange juice, and pekmez.
Sift flour with baking powder and salt and then add the nuts, raisins, and cinnamon to the mix.
2️⃣Spread the tahini mixture on the baking pan and bake in the oven for approximately 45 minutes or until browned.
3️⃣Allow the tahini pie to cool in the pan and garnish it with the tahini icing.
